New Luxury Cabin Apartments arriving April 2008.
The Airport Whyalla Motel is embarking on an exciting new project to meet the needs of longer term guests. New Cabins are scheduled to be on site in April 2008.
These are extremely large executive style fully self contained 2 bedroom ensuites.

All Airport Whyalla Motel units internally are NON Smoking. But will have a balcony for those seeking fresh air.

Airport Whyalla Motel Has New Owners.
The Airport Whyalla Motel has recently been sold to Brendan and Susan Prendergast.
Up until the purchase Brendan and his family were living on a property just out of Townsville in Queensland. In June Brendan became aware of the Airport Whyalla Motel becoming available and following a flight from Queensland made immediate plans to purchase.
Brendan said today, “ Having travelled 20,000 kilometres throughout Australia this year and staying at numerous hotels and motels, In fact I liked the Airport Whyalla Motel that much, I bought it!
It provides quality accommodation at very reasonable rates.
Having visited Whyalla in June, I realised the enormous potential of both the Airport Whyalla Motel and Whyalla City and region.
Truly this is an exciting chapter in Whyalla’s development. I couldn’t be more pleased to have brought this quality R.A.A. rated 3-½ star Motel at just the right time.
Whyalla is going through and industrial and commercial rebirth! The mining sector is providing continued and sustained growth. The population is growing. Just the other day one builder informed me in the few weeks he had been in Whyalla he had now 90 houses to build before the end of 2007.
I would suggest if planning a stay to book ahead. Often the Airport Whyalla Motel is Booked out weekdays. Demand is exceeding supply with business visitors, trades people and family’s moving to the area.
Already plans are being made to develop more Airport Whyalla Motel units to assist visitors to the area find quality accommodation.
